    Chapter 95. Fantasy Love

As the fighter jet crashed onto the Zerg planet, Shui Tuling felt a calm despair.

The squadron’s counteroffensive had failed, and his plane was the only survivor. If he could, he wanted to launch a suicide attack on the Zerg fortress and die alongside his comrades. But his co-pilot, Sweet, screamed and cried, clinging to his spacesuit, unwilling to die, so he had no choice but to give in.

But was being captured by the Zerg better than death?

The moment the plane crashed heavily into the ground, he didn’t hesitate for a moment and pulled Sweet into his arms. Although he had no affection for this girl who loved the military but was extremely weak in combat, it didn’t mean he wouldn’t protect a woman.

The violent tremors and impact sent most of the force into Shui Tuling’s body. He felt as if his internal organs were about to rot. From his arms came Sweet’s anxious cries: “Hey! Captain, don’t die! What will I do if you die…”

“Shut up!” He roared in a low voice with his eyes closed and brows furrowed, then everything went black and he fainted.

When he woke up again, it was already dark.

Shui Tuling found himself lying on a grassy field, with a dazzling starry sky above him. The mountains below stretched out like gentle, dark dragons. For a moment, he almost thought he was still on the Alliance planet.

The Zerg are vulgar and disgusting, but their planets are just as beautiful as human planets.

He struggled and managed to sit up. Presumably, the impact he had just suffered was significant, but it hadn’t caused any serious damage.

“You’re awake! That’s wonderful!” A pair of soft, slender arms excitedly grabbed his. Sweet’s beautiful face had a pale, dim look in the starlight, and her dark eyes lit up. Like a drowning person grabbing onto a piece of driftwood, she buried her head in his chest.

Although they had been working together for half a year, Sweet was always the center of attention in the team, often befriending pilots from wealthy families. She had never shown any special regard for Shui Tuling, who also came from a poor background. Yet, at this moment, she was holding him softly and weakly.

Shui Tuling pulled her up from his arms with a little embarrassment and looked around.

They were on a low hill. Through the thick forest, he could see the charred wreckage of a warplane dozens of meters ahead at the foot of the hill.

This made him look at Sweet with new respect—she had actually rescued him so far? But thinking about it, it made sense. In this situation, he was the princess’s only hope, so of course she would save him.

Seemingly sensing the emotion in his gaze, Sweet stretched out her arms in front of him, looking aggrieved: “It took me so much effort to drag you over; you’re so heavy!”

Her eyes sparkled, and her voice was sweet and dependent.

“Thank you.” Shui Tuling wasn’t used to a woman speaking to him in such a tone. “How long was I unconscious?”

    “About half an hour.”

Shui Tuling frowned upon hearing this. She had stayed for half an hour and hadn’t been discovered by the insectoids yet—a stroke of luck amidst misfortune. However, if she stayed near the wreckage any longer, he feared she would be discovered soon.

“Wait for me here.” He took a deep breath and stood up.

“Where are you going?” Sweet asked nervously, afraid that he would leave her behind.

Shui Tuling was surprised. Everyone in the flight squadron knew his character; did Sweet really think he would abandon a weak woman at this time?

“I’ll go to the plane and get everything that’s usable,” he explained patiently, then, dragging his injured body, he carefully made his way step by step toward the wreckage of the fighter jet.

Perhaps the space war was too intense, because they remained undetected on the insectoid planet for five days. This undoubtedly rekindled their hope of escaping.

The Zerg dwellings are scattered throughout the mountains. Shui Tuling and Sweet were hiding in the most secluded of the dwellings. The owner was probably also fighting on the front lines; there were no Zerg in the house.

The so-called insectoid dwelling was simply a large cave dwelling, half-filled with dried fruit and the carcasses of small animals. Because of the cold climate of the insectoid planet, the food hadn’t spoiled. Shui Tuling then selected some fresh food to process, enough to feed the two of them for a month.

The two of them dared not go out. They stayed in the house every day, at most taking a short walk around the neighborhood, and several peaceful days passed.

At night, the two slept in separate corners of the cave dwelling. Shui Tuling liked to sleep on the floor near the window, where starlight would stream in, and looking at the brilliant sky above would bring him peace of mind.

Sometimes he thinks that life is much better than he expected. Mountains, forests, starry skies, houses, beautiful women… If this were a human planet, he could treat it as a vacation.

Although Sweet was a bit noisy, he wasn’t a talkative person to begin with, so with Sweet around, he wasn’t so quiet that he became withdrawn.

Sweet was probably used to relying on men, and her gaze towards him was always full of trust and admiration. Shui Tuling was still a young man full of vigor and passion. He often blushed a little under her gaze. If it were any other man, he would probably have already knelt down at her feet after her ambiguous glances.

On the fifth night, Sweet finally broke the ice.

That night, as usual, he sat shirtless by the window. Sweet took out the first-aid kit she had salvaged from the plane and changed his dressing.

This is the most difficult time of day for Shui Tuling.

Sweet’s fingers, like a fish, nimbly slid across his waist. It’s no wonder so many men are attracted to her; her hands were incredibly soft, gently gliding over the muscles of his abdomen, and her dark eyes had an exceptionally innocent look as she stared into his eyes, as if expecting something.

After the bandage was wrapped, Sweet suddenly raised her arms and wrapped them around Shui Tuling’s slender waist.

“Captain…” she breathed softly, “when will we finally escape?”

“I’m not sure. In a few days I…” Shui Tuling’s back was as stiff as a mountain, but the rest of his words were blocked from his mouth.

She kissed him first, her eyes still holding a hint of reproach, probably annoyed by his lack of romantic understanding.

Her soft, full breasts rubbed against his firm, taut abdomen, and Shui Tuling’s body suddenly hardened. Although Shui Tuling had always believed himself to be resolute and only to fall in love with his wife in the future, at this moment, his face flushed, his heart pounded, and his large hands unexpectedly felt an urge to embrace Sweet.

She almost immediately sensed a change in his gaze, a hint of “I knew it.” But this look filled Shui Tuling with shame and anger, and he pushed her away and stood up.

“Sweet, saving you is my duty as the driver. Don’t involve anyone else.” He stood erect, his face ashen.

Sweet was just getting aroused, but he pushed her to the ground. Continuing was awkward, and stopping was equally embarrassing. Her tone was somewhat disdainful: “Ha…you men, what are you pretending for!”

Shui Tuling was extremely embarrassed by what she said, so he simply pushed open the door and strode out.

Sweet opened her mouth in surprise when she saw that he had actually left her behind but eventually shook her head and chuckled.

She lay down alone on the soft mat made of weeds, unzipped her pants, closed her eyes, and reached inside with one hand.

Shui Tuling was standing at the door. But less than a minute later, he heard Sweet’s low breathing coming from inside. At first, he didn’t understand, but when Sweet’s moans grew louder, he suddenly realized what was going on.

Perhaps Sweet’s actions were merely to get him back into the house. But Shui Tuling’s body and heart seemed to be instantly ignited by her voice, and he strode away as if being chased by a ghost.

Shui Tuling stopped walking in a valley far from the house.

It was past midnight, and the Zerg satellite, like a pale red orange, hung silently in the sky. Shui Tuling gazed at the still, clear pool before him, but the image of Sweet involuntarily popped into his mind.

Even though he was extremely disgusted by Sweet’s private life, he couldn’t help but feel parched at this moment. His lower body felt like it was on fire, and it hardened again.

He sat down on a large rock by the pool, unzipped his military trousers, and took it out.

Because of his impoverished background, Shui Tuling’s hands were covered in calluses. In contrast to his refined and handsome appearance, the dragon was particularly robust and ugly, appearing ferocious and reddish-black when held in his palm.

He simply lay down on the boulder, his hands beginning to move rapidly. With increasingly low and rapid breathing, his tall, strong body began to tremble with each thrust. He closed his eyes, moving faster and faster, as if his future, beloved wife were above him, panting softly during his assault… He imagined her legs wrapped around his waist, her small hands holding his…

“Ugh… Ah!” He gasped heavily, his body suddenly shuddering and stiffening—as the scalding liquid sprayed onto the cold boulder…

“Heh…” A very low laugh. It seemed to be there, barely audible, carried on the wind, and seeped into his still somewhat confused mind.

    Is anyone there?

But the laughter only intensified his already intense orgasm.

His body was completely out of his control; a shiver still ran through him. Several seconds passed before the remaining liquid was cleared away. He pulled up his pants, pulled out his gun, and stood up.

The surrounding trees were still, the wind had ceased, the moonlight was sparse, and the pool water was clear. Where was anyone?

Shui Tuling felt a sense of alarm and quickly ran towards the house.

He saw the house in the distance, and a slight surprise rose in his heart.

To avoid attracting the attention of the Zerg, they never turn on lights at night. But it’s the middle of the night, so why are the orange lights on?

Even if Sweet was immature, Shui Tuling believed she wouldn’t make such a mistake. He carefully stepped over the weeds and bushes, approaching from behind the house, gun in hand.

Because the doors and windows were tightly closed, he couldn’t hear anything inside. When he slowly stood up, pressed against the corner of the back wall, and peered through the small window, he was stunned by what he saw inside!

    Zerg officer!

Two enormous insectoid creatures, each over two meters tall and capable of walking upright, stood in the center of the room. They were dressed in military uniforms, and Shui Tuling immediately recognized their ranks as lieutenant and captain. Beneath their grotesque and disgusting heads, they had even pulled down their trousers, revealing several multi-legged appendages that swayed erratically like seaweed.

Sweet knelt between the two insects. Her trousers were half-pulled down to her knees, revealing her long, slender, white legs and full, round buttocks. Shui Tuling’s heart leaped into his throat as he slowly raised his hand, aiming at the insect in front of him.

But at that moment, Sweet suddenly looked up and smiled, reaching out to grab the thick, bulging protrusion on the giant insect’s body that resembled a human man’s. Behind her, the insect’s compound eyes blinked, and suddenly it extended two multi-legged appendages, grabbing her shapely buttocks.

Shui Tuling felt a wave of nausea. The two insects were exceptionally thick and looked somewhat familiar; he had never seen them in battle, but he was certain he had seen them elsewhere. He wasn’t sure if his gun could take them down through the thick glass.

But he could not stand by and watch Sweet be humiliated.

He gritted his teeth and went for it. He silently circled around to the front door. Taking a deep breath, he counted down—one, two, three—and kicked the door open with a vengeance, charging forward like a cheetah!

The scene he saw when the door opened felt like flames burning his eyes—

Sweet’s half-naked body was lifted up by two insects, one in front and one behind. The enormous member of the insect behind her was already inside her, while the one in front was still rubbing against her lips. More than ten black, multi-legged creatures, like small black dragons, coiled around her body, keeping her suspended in mid-air.

When Shui Tuling rushed in, two Zerg were already attacking. Sweet was shouting, “Ahhh! Commander! Great! Great! Much better than humans!”

Shui Tuling raised his spear and fired at the two insects at extremely close range!

    Five minutes later.

Shui Tuling sat in a pool of blood, panting heavily.

Beside him lay the mangled corpses of two giant insects. He himself was also wounded in many places, with half of his chest almost completely ripped open.

Sweet sat on the ground in front of him, staring at him with wide eyes.

Just as he expected—even emptying a magazine of bullets didn’t kill the two Zerglings. He was forced to engage in fierce hand-to-hand combat with the wounded Zerglings.

    He won.

But now he was exhausted, and if another insect came, he would be powerless to fight back.

He sat on the ground, panting for a while, then struggled to take off his coat and toss it to Sweet.

“Let’s go; let’s go right now.”

    “Why?” Sweet’s voice was strained.

“The gunshots will definitely attract the Zerg! Let’s get out of here!” He struggled to his feet.

“Then why did you shoot?!” Sweet angrily walked towards the door. “They already promised to let me go; you didn’t need to kill them at all!”

Shui Tuling was so angry that he couldn’t catch his breath. He held back for a moment, took out a gun from the holsters that the two insectoids had thrown aside, and quickly walked out of the room.

The two walked one after the other for more than ten minutes when Shui Tuling was suddenly startled.

“They said they’d let you go?”

“Yeah, the Zerg have weaknesses too,” Sweet replied irritably.

Shui Tuling sensed something was wrong: “They can speak human language?”

“Hmm.” Sweet looked at him, puzzled.

    Oh no!

Shui Tuling felt a cold sweat break out in his chest.

Maybe Sweet is right; we really shouldn’t have killed them.

Their enormous size, their incredible fighting power, their purple compound eyes, their ability to speak human language—he finally remembered where he had seen them before.

That was covered in a military academy’s tutorial on Zerg offense and defense.

They are queen beetles. The queen’s personal guard.

As if to confirm his speculation, ten minutes later, dozens of giant insects identical to the Queen Insect suddenly emerged from the woods beside him.

    They were surrounded.

The night was cool and quiet, and the shadows of the trees swayed darkly.

Dozens of queen insects, like hideous black demons, densely blocked their path. In the forest, only the slow, sand-like movements of the queen insects could be heard as they gradually tightened their encirclement.

Despite having weapons, Shui Tuling had no chance of survival in this situation. He decisively raised his two guns, one aimed at Sweet’s forehead and the other at his own temple.

“Are you crazy!” Sweet shouted in a panicked voice. “I don’t want to die!”

“You’d rather become their prisoner?!” Shui Tuling said angrily.

“Survival is the most important thing!” Sweet looked at him with a mixture of surprise and fear. “Don’t worry, they won’t do anything to me!”

Shui Tuling remained silent, then let one hand fall to his side and tossed the gun into her arms.

“It’s your decision.” He couldn’t care less about anything else. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and slowly pulled the trigger.

“Wait a minute, Captain.” A low, hoarse voice rang out.

Shui Tuling paused, opened his eyes, and looked at the several king insects that were already standing less than ten meters in front of him.

The soldier in the middle wore a different uniform from the others; his dark badge gleamed in the moonlight, revealing him to be a colonel.

That must be the Queen’s captain of the guard.

“Captain, please do not commit suicide,” the captain of the guard said quietly. “The Queen has decreed that there will be no torture or interrogation, and your life is guaranteed.”

Shui Tuling was stunned. He hadn’t expected that he, an ordinary officer, would receive a verbal order from the Zerg Queen. The captain of the guard and the Queen had no reason to lie to someone as insignificant as him.

Shui Tuling’s gun moved with lightning speed, instantly aiming at the captain of the guard’s head.

    “Why?” he asked coldly.

“You’re lucky you stumbled into the Valley of the Kings,” the captain of the guard replied casually. “The Valley of the Kings is a place where there is no killing.”

Shui Tuling’s heart skipped a beat—they had actually stumbled into Queen’s Valley by accident? No wonder there were so few insectoids around; no wonder there were queen insects.

“How can one live? Who wants to die?” Sweet whispered excitedly.

“Please come with me, both of you,” the captain of the guard said slowly. “I will take you to a safe place. As long as you behave yourselves, no Zerg will bother you. After the war, we will exchange prisoners of war, and you will be able to go home.”

The temptation was too great, and even Shui Tuling finally hardened his heart, nodded, and handed over his weapon.

More than a dozen queen insects surrounded them from the front and back. Shui Tuling hugged Sweet and followed the captain of the guard nervously into the unknown direction.

    Two days later.

    Space, Zerg fortress.

The captain of the guard stood at the command panel, respectfully gazing at the figure standing in front of him.

The two-meter-tall black queen insect stood upright like a human, even taller and more robust than the male queen insect. Golden exoskeletons covered her muscular, black body, gleaming under the light. To the average insectoid, she was the most beautiful member of the royal family.

But the captain of the guard knew that the queen was most beautiful when she was aroused and reverted to her true form, with her enormous, strong body and cold, huge compound eyes, enough to make her look down on everything in the world.

“D, do you know? My ancestors had human genes.” The queen’s voice was deep, unlike the male insect’s rough and hoarse voice, and more mellow than that of a typical human woman.

The captain of the guard, named D, respectfully shook his head: “I don’t know.”

The Queen chuckled softly: “Thousands of years ago, my race traveled from a distant galaxy to this place, where we settled and multiplied. My ancestors once mated with the Silver Morpho Ants. The Silver Morpho Ants are multi-genetic variants, and it is said that they once possessed human genes.”

“So only royalty possess the ability to shapeshift?” D exclaimed in admiration. “Your Highness is wise.”

The Queen changed the subject: “What happened to those two humans?”

D’s voice trailed off, still savoring the moment: “The woman His Highness bestowed upon us is incredibly cooperative. Even the guards have slept with her; she’s far softer than the queen. You know queens are always rare, and with our constant warfare, opportunities are even scarcer. We wanted her as a regular partner, and she agreed.”

The Queen nodded, then asked, “And him?”

D was somewhat annoyed: “I hinted to him that he should come and serve Your Highness—but he ungratefully refused. However, since Your Highness is free tonight, I have made preparations. Please rest assured, Your Highness.”

The Queen paused for a moment before saying, “Very good.”

The war with the Terrans has temporarily ended. Everyone’s resources and capabilities are limited, and everyone needs rest. Therefore, there have been no human fleet attacks near the Zerg space fortresses in the past few days.

That night, after listening to the commanders’ battle reports, the Queen, guided by D, went straight to the resting pod where Shui Tu Ling was located.

When Queen Daisy saw Shui Tu Ling again, she was still amazed.

She entered the room, and D stood silently behind her.

She had seen many aroused male insects. They were stronger and more robust than humans. Daisy had tried mating with other human men before, but their strength and size were nowhere near that of the male insects.

But the man she saw by the water that night, even though he was alone, attracted her more than any other male insect.

He was so strong, so repressed, his silence sending a shiver of hysteria through her. When he was released, Daisy found herself wanting to try him out.

Unfortunately, his bones were probably harder than his body; after being coaxed and tricked into the fortress, he refused to have sex with her.

But tonight, he has no choice.

    Daisy walked to the bedside.

His military uniform was torn to shreds, revealing his lean and strong physique. Daisy could almost smell his masculine scent in the air. His originally tanned body was flushed red from the drug. The blush lingered on his fair, handsome face, his dark eyes burning intensely.

Daisy sat down on the edge of the bed, stretched out one of her many legs, and grasped his engorged member.

He almost immediately gritted his teeth and roared, his strength so great that even Daisy didn’t have time to react. He grabbed her, flipped her over, and pinned her down.

Daisy had always been dominant when mating with other male insects, and her partners were always respectful. How could anyone be as fierce and powerful as him? She was quite surprised, but before she could push him down, he was already impatiently searching for an outlet on her body. Daisy chuckled softly, raised her lower body, and met his advances.

Although the upright female insect was large, its entrance was extremely tight and narrow. This caused a thin layer of sweat to instantly appear on his forehead. He had already lost consciousness, irresistibly entwined with her body, and with a burst of energy, he thrust in, launching a fierce attack.

As queen, this was the first time Daisy had been so brutally tormented in bed. Especially since her lover was of a different race. After several rounds, his body grew hotter and stronger, while she became increasingly aroused and unable to control herself. During his brief rest, he even used his mouth to search for her. Finally, she could no longer resist and let out a scream—

The alloy bed snapped with a crisp sound! The enormous insect body, like an inflating balloon, instantly filled the entire large resting pod! Her size was several times his, and he was slammed against the wall by the force of her body, unable to get up for a long time.

But it was no longer up to him.

Its many legs, like water plants, wrapped around his body, lifted him up, and moved him in front of her. The tentacles, like a woman’s gentle hands, caressed his entire body, manipulating his swelling. From D’s perspective, it was a lean male body lying in the giant insect’s palm, trembling and groaning.

A soft crack appeared at the tip of the tentacle, like a flower blooming, gripping him tightly and beginning another fierce confrontation. His world had already darkened; his arms gripped the tentacle firmly, and in rhythm with it, he began a frenzied thrusting…

    One day and one night.

When Shui Tuling woke up, he felt sore and weak all over.

He opened his eyes and found himself still lying in the rest pod, dressed neatly, surrounded by silence.

The air was thick with the stench of nectar, mixed with the stench of the insectoid race. He was slightly startled, recalling the dream he had just had.

In his dream, he was entangled with a long-haired beauty whose face he couldn’t see, their lovemaking lasting an unknown amount of time. The woman had an incredibly supple waist and smooth, silky hands; she was extremely passionate beneath him, even actively using her mouth…

His face flushed; he hadn’t expected to have such an erotic dream. He opened the door and went out, and the Zerg guards at the door bowed to him in salute. He was allowed to move freely in this compartment, so he walked back and forth along the passageway for a while, but his face was still red and his throat was dry, so he couldn’t help but laugh.

Sweet came to see him in the afternoon.

He was somewhat speechless about this woman, but it seemed he couldn’t criticize her too much. She told Shui Tuling that she would stay and live on the Zerg planet, which greatly surprised Shui Tuling.

    “Why?”

“They want me,” Sweet said, having her own logic. “They have a dozen or so brothers who are well-paid and willing to give me half their wealth. And they will never restrict my freedom. All I have to do is sleep with them. Besides, they are much better than human men.”

Shui Tuling was utterly astonished. How could humans and insectoids…

“Captain, we both come from the Blue Go region of Hope Planet. You know how hard it is to live in poverty. After you retire, are you just going to live on a pension?” Sweet said indifferently. “I never want to live like that again.”

    “But they are the Zerg!”

“So what if they’re Zerg?” Sweet retorted. “We’ve been fighting the Zerg for so long; do you think they’ve ever lost to us humans in any way?”

Shui Tuling paused for a moment but immediately retorted, “What about your loyalty?”

    Sweet remained silent.

After a moment of awkward silence, Sweet suddenly laughed.

“Shui Tuling, how much better are you than me?”

After Sweet left, Shui Tuling felt a vague unease stirred by her words. What was she implying?

For the next ten days or so, Shui Tuling remained imprisoned in the fortress. But when he had the same dream a second time, he sensed something was wrong. Remembering the hints Captain D had given him earlier, he felt nauseous.

The next day, he began a hunger strike.

This infuriated D, who reluctantly reported to the Queen, who was planning to visit him again. The Queen remained silent for a moment before saying, “It’s alright; it’s time to be completely honest with each other.”

For many days afterward, the Queen did not appear again, and D repeatedly assured Shui Tuling that he would not drug him again. Shui Tuling confirmed his suspicions and felt unbearably ashamed and resentful.

“If you don’t eat, we’ll send people to Hope Planet to kidnap your parents,” D threatened, forcing Shui Tuling to start eating again.

Six months later, a beautifully sculpted baby girl was sent to the Valley of the Kings, where Shui Tu Ling was imprisoned.

“This is my and Shuiqing’s child, Debbie.”

Along with the letter came a note. The Alliance handwriting was strong and powerful, conveying the image of the legendary, resilient, and powerful Zerg Queen.

Shui Tuling held the wailing baby, unable to bring himself to kill her. D left behind a pile of milk powder and diapers, and all the King Insects retreated to guard several kilometers away, leaving no one to watch over the life or death of the father and daughter.

Shui Tuling began to frantically take care of her.

The child showed no signs of abnormality, leading Shui Tuling to deeply suspect that she was simply an ordinary human baby girl—perhaps the Queen was lying to him. How could the Zerg Queen give birth to her own child?

You can watch a child laugh, roll over, crawl, and stand. They’ll cling to your clothes, burying their head in your arms; they’ll need to hold your arm to fall asleep every night—

With a heart full of tenderness and unwavering resolve, Shui Tuling’s entire life began to revolve around her. And when she called out his first soft, sweet “Daddy,” he was momentarily speechless.

The child stayed with Shui Tuling until he was three years old.

The Queen’s Guard once again marched into the Valley of Kings, but this time, the Queen’s Eye banner fluttered in the wind. The one who nimbly leaped off the spaceship was none other than Daisy’s robust figure.

Shui Tuling was somewhat surprised when he first met the Queen.

She was slightly better than he had imagined; compared to the other insects, she was even somewhat fit and well-proportioned. But what did it mean for an insect to be well-proportioned? It still meant a head with bulging muscles, black and menacing compound eyes, and a body as hard as rock.

“Shuiqing,” Daisy had already made up her mind, her voice as deep as still water, “I have decided to make Daibi the crown princess. You will come back to the palace with me.”

Shui Tuling shook his head: “Your Majesty, as a different race, we cannot work together if our paths are different.”

Daisy chuckled softly. “Didn’t we already conspire together?”

One sentence successfully made Shui Tuling feel embarrassed and slightly awkward.

“Shuiqing, you will enjoy being with me,” Daisy said softly. “I have missed you ever since we parted.”

Without further hesitation, Shui Tuling roared, “Shut up! Even if I die, I will never associate with the insect race!”

Daisy’s face darkened: “Are you sure?”

Shui Tuling pulled out a sharp knife hidden in his sleeve and pounced on Daisy like a cheetah: “Die—”

One year later, the Zerg royal palace.

Daisy sat up in bed. The man behind her draped her royal robes over her shoulders and lovingly kissed her cheek.

“Daisy, thank you for your hard work,” he said meaningfully.

Daisy couldn’t help but laugh: “Have you never had any other partners before?”

The man blushed slightly: “Yes. You are my only woman.”

Upon hearing the word “woman,” Daisy’s expression stiffened slightly. Turning her head, she saw an unnatural blush perpetually shrouding the man’s handsome, tanned face. His dark eyes, like an eternally gloomy night, remained utterly somber.

The words of the imperial physician came to mind.

“Although this medicine is effective and can harmonize Your Majesty’s and your wife’s relationship, prolonged use may damage the King’s brain nerves…”

    Daisy clenched her fists slightly.

What started as mere lust, a desire to be intimate with him a few more times, turned into a nightly craving. But after a year, she found herself addicted, savoring the taste every night. And he, addicted to drugs, began to treat her like his beloved, showering her with tenderness and care. He would hold her and laugh heartily; he would spar with her, kissing her repeatedly after she subdued him; he would gaze at her with utter infatuation…

He was such a good man; she was increasingly reluctant to let him go. Even a month ago, she defied public opinion and announced to the Zerg and Human Alliance that he should be her king consort.

She truly wanted to grow old with him.

He took the drug and thought he had fallen in love with her.

“My lord, if I told you that if you wanted to be with me, you would only have 10 years left to live, would you be willing?” she suddenly asked.

“I’d be willing to do it even for just one day,” Shui Tuling smiled brightly.

Daisy felt a sudden pang of pain in her heart. For the first time, without careful consideration, the words escaped her lips: “My Lord, I solemnly promise you today that I will never again cause you trouble. From now on, I will not wage war against humanity. The peaceful planets we have occupied will be returned to humankind.”

Shui Tuling was shaken and sighed, “You are a good woman who understands the greater good.”
