    Chapter 40. Slap

    The room seemed unremarkable.

Lu Wan’s gaze shifted from the low bed in the inner room to the embroidered screen beside it. She looked around, finding only the color of the gauze curtains hanging in the room quite attractive—a pale, smoky purple, light and airy.

She casually bent down and carefully searched the sleeves and waist of the palace maid who had tried to attack her, pulling out a tinderbox.

A tinderbox? Lu Wan frowned, countless plots from palace intrigue and domestic power struggles flashing through her memory.

However, this was too cliché. She shook her head in disbelief.

But still, frowning, she searched the inner room further and indeed found a bronze incense burner shaped like an animal in a corner.

She casually lifted the lid and looked inside. The incense inside had not been lit yet, but a sweet, cloying fragrance already wafted out.

Just a few sniffs were enough to make her feel sensual.

Ha, although she did not know who would use such despicable means to ruin her reputation, she was already here, and it was hard for her not to want revenge.

After a moment’s thought, Lu Wan bound the palace maid who had attacked her hand and foot, gagged her, and went to great lengths to shove her under the bed, feeling she had done more than enough.

She even kindly lit the incense that seemed to be an aphrodisiac before intending to leave.

Whoever set the trap, if she came, fell for it, could not find anyone to help her, and was eventually caught in the act, would that not be a disgraceful affair?

Unfortunately, her smile had barely curved, and she had not taken two steps when she felt something trip her.

Instantly, she lost her balance and fell forward, her delicate white forehead hitting the corner of the carved wooden table with a loud thud.

A sharp pain shot through Lu Wan as she bit her lip, clutching the bruise on her forehead, feeling dizzy.

Not only her forehead, but also her sprained ankle throbbed with excruciating pain. She tried to stand but could not.

Suddenly, she felt a chill creeping over her.

Lu Wan managed to pull a handkerchief from her sleeve to cover her mouth and nose, desperately trying to maintain her last vestiges of consciousness amidst the rich, sweet fragrance.

“If only I had not been so pathetic,” she thought bitterly, struggling to sit up and inching her way towards a place where she could hide.

The beast-shaped incense burner in the corner of the room remained silent, emitting wisps of white smoke, and her vision gradually blurred…

Meanwhile, Xie Yu was talking with several officials of similar age. He kept glancing in the direction Lu Wan had left, and suspicion began to creep in.

Ah Wan seemed to have been gone for quite some time. Could something have happened to her?

Since suspicion arose in his heart, he naturally paid closer attention, hesitating whether to go looking for her.

A short while later, he saw someone hand Zhou Yan, who was drinking alone, a pink peony flower and some other unidentifiable object.

Zhou Yan opened the latter and his expression immediately changed. Even the corners of his eyes and brows lit up with surprise, and he immediately headed in the direction Lu Wan had left.

Xie Yu’s long eyelashes trembled, unable to describe what he was thinking or what he was feeling.

Maintaining his usual elegant demeanor, he raised his hand in a respectful bow, his voice gentle and calm.

“I’ve noticed Ah Wan has not returned for a long time, and I am worried. I need to go look for her. Please, gentlemen, make yourselves at home.”

“Commander Xie seems to care a lot about Lady Lu,” one of the young men he was talking to remarked with a smile.

“A perfect match, a talented man and a beautiful woman, truly a match made in heaven,” another person chimed in with a laugh.

Xie Yu smiled, his eyes gentle, seemingly acknowledging the compliment, and turned to head in the direction Lu Wan had gone.

He was very familiar with the Eastern Palace, but finding no trace of Lu Wan in the changing room, his heart pounded, and his eyelids twitched uncontrollably.

Has something happened to Ah Wan, or…was she really going to meet someone in secret?

At the thought of the latter possibility, Xie Yu involuntarily straightened his back, his slender figure swaying almost imperceptibly.

He pressed a tighter smile to his lips and tentatively searched along the corridor.

Finally, in front of a secluded pavilion, he found Zhou Yan hesitant and uncertain.

Xie Yu stood quietly at the corner, coldly watching Zhou Yan, whose brow was furrowed as he paced repeatedly outside a room’s door.

He seemed eager to knock, yet several times he raised his hand but could not bring himself to do so.

After a long while, the proud and handsome young man finally composed himself.

He stopped at the doorway, his hand, exposed outside his sleeve, clenched into a fist. His clear voice became hoarse. “Ah Wan, since you are already engaged to Judicial Minister Xie, why are you still looking for me?”

The room remained silent; no one responded.

The young man’s eyes dimmed completely. He gave a bitter laugh. “I knew it. How could you possibly be inside? Someone’s probably just trying to amuse me.”

Casually tossing aside the pink Peach Blossom Snow blossom he held, Zhou Yan lowered his eyelids and turned away dejectedly.

And after he left, a figure in a pale blue robe emerged from around the corner.

Xie Yu’s eyes were filled with an unreadable emotion, like a thick, dark fog shrouding the rolling spring mountains, obscuring the sun and moon.

His black boots, embroidered with silver scroll patterns, were casually worn. He stepped on the Peach Blossom Snow blossom, and with a slight swipe, the delicate peony turned into a puddle of mud.

Peonies were highly valued at the time, and their price was high. While a single Peach Blossom Snow blossom was not as expensive as the darker-colored ones, it still cost several taels of gold or silver, yet he crushed it into mud without a shred of pity.

He raised his hand and pushed open the lattice door without hesitation. A sticky, sweet fragrance wafted out.

This fragrance… Something was not right!

Xie Yu frowned, immediately taking out a handkerchief to cover his mouth and nose, and slowly peered into the room.

When he saw the familiar figure, half-conscious and dazed, lying on the floor, his pupils contracted, and he bent down to help her up.

Indeed, the Peach Blossom Snow blossom he had personally adorned Lu Wan’s temple with was gone.

Xie Yu’s face was ashen, yet he had no choice but to first fetch tea from the table and extinguish the embers in the incense burner.

Seeing that Lu Wan had disheveled herself and, suspecting Zhou Yan might return, he pulled her behind the screen.

He then allowed her to explore his body without uttering a word.

He closed his eyes briefly, feeling the person in his arms rubbing against him haphazardly, trying to calm his breathing.

Fortunately, she must have been framed, not secretly meeting with Zhou Yan.

Long, jade-like fingers, with distinct knuckles, moved slowly and deliberately in the shadows of the screen, encircling her delicate, slender neck.

This was a temptation from the abyss; with just a little force, she would forever remain in his arms.

Xie Yu’s once clear eyes were now as black as ink, concealing countless complex thoughts. He gazed at the dazed woman in his arms for a long while before slowly releasing his grip.

He then tightened his arms around her slender waist, supporting the woman who had gone limp, making her more comfortable in his lap.

With the alluring perfume gone and the pain in her bruised forehead gradually subsiding, Lu Wan’s consciousness cleared somewhat.

She loosened her grip on Xie Yu’s neck, covered her head, and looked utterly bewildered.

Suddenly, she turned away, clutching her ankle, softly groaning in pain, her eyes watery, even the corners of her eyes reddening, making her look extremely pitiful.

“How pitiful,” Xie Yu chuckled softly, pecking a kiss at the corner of her moist eye, his voice gently coaxing, “Shall I carry you back later?”

His gaze towards the woman in his arms was gentle and clear, but the mere thought that someone was plotting against his precious treasure instantly chilled the warm spring light.

He even began to ponder who could have such a motive and how to eliminate that person.

Lu Wan looked up, her misty, shimmering eyes unfocused as she stared at him. Her mind, a jumbled mess, could not discern who was embracing her. Just as she was about to ask, Xie Yu swiftly covered her mouth.

Because at that moment, someone else pushed open the door and entered.

There seemed to be more than one person.

Xie Yu recognized the voice as that of Lu Wan’s fifth aunt, Lu Zhen. She seemed to be imperiously questioning the palace maid accompanying her.

“Have you already delivered the note impersonating Lu Wan to Lord Xie?” It was Lu Zhen’s voice.

The palace maid beside her seemed extremely afraid of her and stammered, “Yes, I delivered it.”

“I instructed you to lure that lecherous Prince Qing to Lu Wan. Did you go?”

“I already delivered it.” This answer was more confident.

Lu Zhen smiled smugly, her originally delicate face contorted into an ugly expression.

“My elder sister is so kind, even arranging for her to marry Zhou Yan, the heir of Prince Xin. In my opinion, that bloated, fat Prince Qing is far more deserving of her.”

“What are you still doing here? Cowardly and hesitant, whose man are you trying to marry? Get out of here!”

Lu Zhen’s tone was impatient, but thinking of the good things to come, she still smiled smugly.

The palace maid, unable to find Xie Yu, retreated timidly, feeling that disaster was about to befall her.

She had searched everywhere at the banquet but had not seen Xie Yu. Fearing Young Lady Lu’s scolding and beating, she could only vaguely agree.

Once the palace maid left, fearing the impending punishment, beating, or even being silenced, she wiped away her tears and hid even further away.

Completely unaware that in her panic, she had led Young Lady Lu into the wrong room.

“Is this the room Sister was talking about?”

Lu Zhen glanced at the simple furnishings of the mansion and pursed her lips, feeling that her sister had not put much effort into it. She’d promised to prepare the finest things for her, but this was nothing special.

But the thought of finally winning the heart of the handsome Xie family’s young master filled her with excitement, her hands trembling.

Lu Zhen searched around and found the animal-shaped incense burner in the corner. She hurriedly poured in a lot of incense, still worried it would not be enough, fearing Xie Yu might not truly lose his senses.

Seeing the thick smoke billowing out as soon as it was lit, Lu Zhen’s eyes gleamed frighteningly. She quickly removed her outer robe, lay down on the couch, and even tried to strike a few alluring poses.

But gradually, she lost consciousness in the sweet fragrance, writhing like a snake on the bed.

Watching the whole affair unfold, Xie Yu covered his and Lu Wan’s mouths and noses with the damp handkerchief he’d just used, his clear, cold eyes filled with mocking, murderous intent.

They were nothing but a few stupid, pig-like fools, yet they dared to scheme against him and Ah Wan at the same time.

Through the gap in the screen, he glimpsed the guilty look on the palace maid’s face. Connecting this to the fact that this was where Lu Wan had been found, his shrewd mind understood.

He decided to carry the immobile Lu Wan, intending to show her a good show.

If he could gain some benefit, it would not be bad. He looked down at the dazed woman in his arms and held her even tighter.

After an unknown amount of time, hesitant footsteps sounded again at the door.

Zhou Yan, who had long since left, thought it over and decided to come and check if anyone was inside.

He was not unhappy when he received the peony and the note.

During the years Lu Wan had pursued him, it was impossible to say that he had only felt disgust and no affection whatsoever. But young people were always arrogant, and naturally, he refused to admit that he had any attraction to that vulgar yet beautiful woman. Now that she had so quickly turned to someone else, for Zhou Yan, the brief moment of pleasure was followed by immense disappointment.

He might have finally come to terms with his own feelings, but then he immediately heard the news that the other person was already engaged.

There was always a tinge of resentment, especially since he often saw Lu Wan’s carriage, bells jingling, heading towards the Xie residence whenever he drank on the second floor of the tavern across the street.

Once, he secretly followed her and saw Lu Wan, after getting off the cart, glance at the plaque of the Xie residence, and a slight smile appeared on her face.

He was indeed somewhat resentful; he just wanted to get to the bottom of things.

Zhou Yan forced a smile and stepped inside.

As soon as he entered, he immediately covered his mouth and nose—what was that smell?

He frowned and walked further in, and then he saw a figure sitting on the couch.

“Ah Wan, did you invite me here?” The boy’s voice held a hint of joy.

This slight joy in his tone made Xie Yu frown quickly.

Xie Yu lowered his head, gently nuzzling Lu Wan’s lips with a series of affectionate kisses, easing his displeasure.

“I knew it. After years of friendship, you must have something to say to me.”

Zhou Yan, seeing the person on the bed remain silent, curiously approached to investigate, only to see a flushed, dazed stranger’s face behind the bed curtains.

    This was not Lu Wan!

He suddenly understood the fragrance in the room, his raised eyebrows furrowing sharply. “Truly absurd!”

He then angrily turned and left, intending to find someone to arrest this woman who dared to seduce a member of the royal family and punish her severely.

    “Years of affection?”

Behind the screen, a handsome young man, impeccably dressed, was embracing a beautiful woman whose clothes were disheveled.

He whispered coldly in her ear, questioning her.

“What years of affection do you have with him?”

His damp handkerchief was pulled away from her mouth and nose; unlike Xie Yu, she did not instinctively hold her breath, quickly inhaling the sweet, aphrodisiac scent.

Her slightly cleared consciousness began to drift away again.

She happily wrapped her arms around the young man’s neck, pressing her cheek against the crook of his neck in a pitiful manner, rubbing against him, absorbing the slight coolness, and looking utterly pathetic.

Seeing her silence, Xie Yu chuckled coldly, slowly moving closer to her, enticing her to press her forehead against his.

His beautifully shaped, thin lips moved upward, tenderly kissing the tip of her pink nose, gently nibbling it repeatedly with his teeth and lips, eliciting a soft tremor from the person in his arms.

    “You must be good.”

He finally released the poor nose, slowly moving his lips to Lu Wan’s, kissing her moist lips.

He then sighed contentedly, swallowing her soft sobs.

His hands, accustomed to playing the zither and wielding a brush, rested on Lu Wan’s slender, supple waist, causing her to slump weakly against him, only able to wrap her arms around his neck for support.

It was as if she were offering herself up more reverently, allowing him to take her as he pleased.

Her lotus-pink dress nestled softly against his sleeves, rustling gently after the rain.

    “Listen.”

Finally releasing her lips, Xie Yu looked at the unnatural redness from his caresses, then brushed against her burning cheek, chuckling lazily in her ear with a hint of mischief.

Having lost her source of coolness, Lu Wan rubbed against him restlessly, her bright eyes and trembling breath like an uneasy cat.

Xie Yu chuckled softly, coaxing the woman in his arms. “Listen to what the people outside are doing?”

Obediently and obediently, Lu Wan tried to concentrate. She seemed to hear some ambiguous noises coming from afar. She focused her mind to identify them, but could not quite make out what the strange sounds were.

Subconsciously, however, she felt the sounds were too unpleasant, causing her to unconsciously shrink further into Xie Yu’s arms.

Even though the person in his arms was burning hot, Xie Yu felt as if he were the one under the influence of an aphrodisiac. The detached, cold mind silently observed, watching itself reveal its most lurking, worst side.

That side, forever hidden beneath his refined, gentlemanly exterior, was like that of a madman, morbid and irrational.

“Never leave me,” he heard himself say, the voice low, almost a whisper. “You are mine.”

He reached out and lifted Lu Wan’s delicate chin, meeting her already hazy, shimmering eyes.

After a moment, he kissed her deeply again, then took the lipstick from her mouth and sucked it tenderly, brutally and ruthlessly, drawing away her sweet scent.

It seemed he was desperately trying to calm his own descent into depravity and nightmare.

Lost in a sweet, dreamlike state, Lu Wan was oblivious to everything. She only felt overwhelmed by the refreshing scent, a joy welling up within her, an irresistible urge to draw closer, even closer, to him.

But his hands were like iron, firmly holding her waist, preventing her from getting her way.

After a long while, Lu Wan sobbed softly, subconsciously wanting more. Her restless hands rubbed against his clothes and waist, but he pressed them down, drawing them to his lips.

Xie Yu lowered his head, letting out a muffled laugh, almost greedily taking her delicate, bamboo-like fingertips into his mouth, biting down forcefully and tenderly, his teeth pressing so hard that Lu Wan almost felt pain.

She struggled, then reluctantly put the withdrawn fingers back into her mouth, but all her efforts were taken in by the dark gaze of her beloved.

He gently patted her limp head against his chest, straightened her up, and carefully straightened her disheveled and wrinkled clothes.

But those long, slender fingers with distinct knuckles would occasionally tease her restlessly, eliciting soft moans from the person on top of him.

A loud thud echoed as the door was kicked open, accompanied by a swarm of onlookers.

“Tie up the person on the bed!”

Zhou Yan shouted sharply, catching a whiff of the lingering sweet scent in the air. His sharp, handsome features were now tinged with anger and hatred.

He had already guessed the purpose of that sweet fragrance, feeling utterly humiliated, and decided to make a grand show of arresting the culprit behind this sordid act.

He did not care that some onlookers had followed him.

“Get off! Get off! What are you doing arresting me?”

A rough male voice shouted, unwilling to not continue indulging in the tenderness, but the guards pulled back the bed curtains, exposing him to the crowd.

Many young women who had come to watch blushed and backed away, while many ladies frowned repeatedly.

The bed was simply too messy.

On the couch lay a man and a woman, both buried under the covers from the waist down, seemingly engaged in illicit activities. The man was obese and panting heavily, appearing quite disheveled.

“Prince Qing!” Someone recognized the man and exclaimed in surprise.

At this moment, the woman moved, trying to entwine herself with the man on top of her, revealing her face, which had been hidden under the covers.

“Is that not Noble Consort Lu’s younger sister?!” someone gloated, exclaiming her identity.

“How shameless! Daring to do such a thing in broad daylight!”

A murmur of discussion arose, with many whispering amongst themselves, some gloating, some puzzled.

Zhou Yan frowned, puzzled that Prince Qing had somehow been dragged into this mess. His guards exchanged bewildered glances, unsure how to proceed.

“It’s just a woman, Mu Shao’ai. What’s so strange about her having a little affair? And you all seem to have gotten involved.”

Prince Qing rose disdainfully, hastily dressing himself. A frequent visitor to brothels, he had already recognized the scent.

She looked like nothing more than a woman seducing him. He’d only slept with her because she was Noble Consort Lu’s younger sister.

Otherwise, he would not have even considered such an ordinary woman.

Many people chuckled. With his obese appearance, how dare he bring up Mu Shao’ai?

The more astute ones shook their heads, wondering how they’d managed to hook up; there must be something fishy going on.

Even if the current dynasty were more open-minded, given this embarrassing situation, Lu Zhen would only be able to enter the Prince’s mansion or marry a lowly, ambitious man who wanted to curry favor with the Lu family.

Neither of these paths could be considered good.

Hearing that the situation outside had almost reached a stalemate, Xie Yu curled his lips into a smile, lowering his brows and concealing the alluring glint in his eyes.

He gently lifted the gradually calming woman in his arms, carefully burying her flushed cheeks in his chest so that others would not see.

Then he picked her up and emerged from behind the screen.

Seeing Xie Yu emerge from behind the screen carrying a woman in pink, her fair, jade-like face slightly flushed, and her eyes slightly watery, nearly made everyone’s jaws drop.

Not only those outside but also the Crown Prince and Princess Nan’an, who had just arrived upon hearing the news.

Nan’an abruptly covered her mouth, her eyes widening, her voice rising several octaves. “You, what are you doing here?”

Zhou Huaizhang did not seem to care about Lu Zhen, but upon seeing Xie Yu, he immediately frowned slightly. “What is Xun’an doing here?”

Xie Yu smiled, a hint of helplessness and embarrassment in the curve of her lips.

“Ah Wan bumped her head and felt a little dizzy, so I found an empty room for her to rest, but I did not expect…”

The unfinished sentence was enough to spark speculation: an unmarried man and woman forced to listen to a live sex show behind a screen…

Some quick-witted individuals, considering Lu Zhen’s lack of reaction and the lingering scent in the room, suspected the matter was not so simple.

Although there was no explicit evidence, the gazes of the crowd towards the two now held a hint of ambiguity.

Fortunately, they were already engaged and had not caused any major incidents, so there was nothing to criticize.

Zhou Huaizhang had some suspicions but could only turn around and give orders.

“Ah Mei, take Xun’an and Young Lady Lu to a place to rest. Then call the physician from the Imperial Pharmacy to examine Young Lady Lu. I will handle things here.”

Hearing this, Nan’an finally came to her senses. She stepped forward to look at the dazed Lu Wan, her voice tinged with anxiety. “Young Master Xie, come with me quickly.”

Passing Zhou Yan, the young man, who had also guessed what was going on, gritted his teeth and forced out a sentence, “You heard everything?”

Xie Yu raised an eyebrow, his smile as gentle and aloof as ever, his tone certain but unimportant.

Zhou Yan clearly heard the provocation in his words.

    “She’s mine.”

    *

After being fed a bowl of strangely tasting medicine, Lu Wan gradually regained consciousness, feeling a numbing pain on the tip of her tongue.

She opened her eyes and saw her beloved sitting not far away, his profile handsome and upright, reading a book. His figure was elegant and refined, tall and slender, quite striking.

But fragmented images flashed through her mind.

The forced entanglement and the helplessness of being controlled and teased… Her face flushed crimson, then turned deathly pale.

Xie Yu, that lecherous Xie Yu!

Lu Wan’s hands trembled as she groped around for anything nearby.

Even after slamming a pillow hard against Xie Yu, she still felt unsatisfied.

Fine droplets of water clung to her eyelashes, fluttering like restless butterfly wings. She continued groping on the bed, hoping to find something hard to hit him with.

After groping for a while, Lu Wan calmed down a bit, lowered her eyes, and pondered the day’s events.

She was safe and sound only because Xie Yu had saved her; no matter what, he was the one who saved her.

Her pale fingers clutched the silk quilt on the bed. She paused, then called out her thanks.

“I owe you again today. Thank you for saving me, My Lord.”

The handsome young man, who had been smiling at her, suddenly turned cold after being hit, though he quickly regained his composure when she thanked him.

He stood up, knowingly taking Lu’s hand, and explained gently, “You were affected by the aphrodisiac. I did not do anything to you.”

Even though he actually wanted to do something, Xie Yu’s eyes dimmed for a moment.

It was just that the occasion was not right, and he was worried that Lu Wan might really turn against him.

How could this man be so shameless, daring to mention the aphrodisiac? Lu Wan’s face turned completely cold.

The thought of him deliberately snatching the handkerchief from her mouth and nose, causing her to inhale the aphrodisiac again while she was still conscious, and then rubbing against him incessantly…

Lu Wan felt she had not just been sexually assaulted, but rather manipulated into being sexually assaulted. If she had been conscious at the time, she might not have been so angry.

But Xie Yu had completely disregarded her feelings, forcing her to inhale the aphrodisiac to create this opportunity, which was a different matter.

Lu Wan stared at him coldly, unable to suppress the rising shame and anger any longer. She pulled out her right hand and slapped Xie Yu across the face without hesitation.

Regardless of whether he was her target or not, her pride would not allow her to pretend nothing had happened.

Just because he was her target, that did not mean he could take advantage of her without restraint.

    That was a pipe dream!

    Slap! A crisp sound.

A small, bright red handprint now adorned that handsome, fair face, quite noticeable.

Xie Yu lowered his gaze, listening to the strange voice in his mind reporting Lu Wan’s steadily decreasing favorability rating, and suddenly chuckled softly.

    【Ding! Lu Wan’s favorability rating -5, 10, 5… Current favorability rating 20!】

He released Lu Wan’s other hand, his face burning, his gentle yet aloof eyes narrowing slightly, his expression becoming increasingly inscrutable.

“You do not like me touching you?”

“Is it because you did not like me touching you, or because it was not someone else who touched you?”

These words infuriated Lu Wan even more.

Did he think everyone was a mimosa, happy to be touched by him? Or was he covered in gold and diamonds, able to become rich overnight with a single touch?

She almost laughed in anger, but having already slapped Xie Yu, she was much calmer. She got out of bed and expressionlessly straightened her clothes.

“Master Xie,” she said coldly, deliberately avoiding his gaze, “if you cannot learn how to respect others, you should go back and think about it carefully.”

Xie Yu stood up, blocking her way, and asked, his expression still gentle, “Where are you going?”

Has this man lost his mind?

Lu Wan frowned, enduring the pain, and limped past him.

“I am going back to the Lu residence, and how I get back is none of your business, Master Xie.”

To Xie Yu, this meant she was drawing a line between them.

A slight crease appeared between his brows as he pulled Lu Wan tightly into a hug from behind. His soft lips deliberately brushed against her earlobe as he murmured, “Wan, it is my fault…”

Was this guy ever going to stop? Lu Wan’s body was already weak, and now she was practically trembling from his warm breath. Panicked, she struggled.

    “Xie Yu, let go!”

She struggled too hard, and Xie Yu, afraid of hurting her, had no choice but to release her. His eyes darkened as he looked at her, his expression, combined with the slap mark on her face, making him look deeply hurt.

Lu Wan felt a tightness in her chest. He’d clearly taken advantage of her and was now feigning hurt to soften her heart. This man was hopeless.

Her heart felt heavy. She looked away, not wanting to see him, and uttered a few words:

“I do not want to see you for the next few days. Think carefully about what I just said.” Then she limped away.

Xie Yu remained standing there, detached and indifferent, gazing absently in the direction she had left.

Did she really despise his touch that much?

    Author’s Note:
Lu Wan: Take the slap yourself.
Xie Yu: Xu Lin clearly said a man should be more proactive.
    Xu Lin: I didn’t! I didn’t! Don’t talk nonsense!

May the gods protect us! Don’t lock this up! There was no explicit content! Really!
