Exclusive Possession – CH 054
by MTL TranslationChapter 54.
The sky was clear, and the grass under the sunlight looked like tender green velvet, stretching into the distance. I sat on a brown bench, surrounded by elegant white palace buildings, scattered between the grass and the clear water.
Today was my second day since waking up. Mu Xian was still asleep. We were in the Royal Hospital in the capital. Because I had been lying in bed for too long, I needed to move around and get some sun, as instructed by the doctor.
Morin sat cross-legged on the grass in front of me. He was completely covered in a protective suit, only his flat face was visible. Apparently, this was because sunspot activity was still frequent, significantly interfering with the robots. He was afraid of getting sunburned and aging prematurely, so he was fully armed.
“Miss, there’s something I need your authorization for,” Morin whispered. “I want to sell the live television broadcast rights of the Commander’s awakening process to the Imperial Independent Television Station.”
I was surprised: “Why?” Mu Xian definitely wouldn’t like it if the whole world saw him wake up.
“Because of economic pressure,” Morin said helplessly. “This time, building the space cost 20 billion Imperial Credits, and the Ministry of Finance only reimbursed 60%. Meanwhile, a broadcasting right can sell for 1 billion.”
I was taken aback. You see, Mu Xian’s entire fortune was only 10 billion, so if you calculated it this way, we would have very little left.
“Okay, I agree.” I didn’t hesitate at all. “I will talk to Mu Xian when he wakes up.”
Morin’s face immediately lit up with a smile: “Thank you, Miss!” He paused, then lowered his voice somewhat angrily, saying, “I heard Yi Pucheng has already made over a billion from giving so many interviews! That sly fox!”
I was taken aback.

It was said that two hours after I woke up, Yi Pucheng also woke up in another ward. However, he was immediately taken to the capital’s high-level prison by fully armed soldiers.
Morin said that although my and Yi Pucheng’s spiritual power was negligible, it would still have an unpredictable effect on the space. For safety’s sake, that was why they asked the three of us to leave alive together.
However, Yi Pucheng was living a much more comfortable life than I expected. Today on TV, I saw him wearing a black prison uniform, sitting in the high-security cell of the Imperial Prison, with a coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other, smiling and talking fluently to the camera.
“I had a great time working with them in the virtual space, and we overcame many difficulties together.”
“Yes, I saved Nuo’er’s life. Yao Yao… I’m sorry, it’s Her Highness the Princess. She also treated me with the same respect and love as her own brother.”
“I believe it’s reasonable for the Empire to imprison me now—after all, we have had our share of misunderstandings and disagreements. However, what matters is the future.”
…
The reason he was so popular with the media was that our story had caused a sensation in the Stan Empire and even the entire Galactic Federation. Every radio station and channel was tracking and reporting on our news.
The reason for such widespread attention was that, historically, no one had ever created such a powerful space using spiritual energy. Some commentators had even remarked that Mu Xian was a sign of the arrival of a “great new energy era.”
Mu Xian was still in a coma, so I naturally wouldn’t give any public interviews. Yi Pucheng had become the sole spokesperson. However, I didn’t expect that even though he was imprisoned and barely able to protect himself, he still wouldn’t let go of any opportunity to make money…
“How’s Yi Pucheng now?” I asked Morin.
Morin snorted and said, “I heard that the infamous Galactic Mercenary Command has sent a written peace agreement. This morning, Yi Pucheng will have an emergency meeting with the Imperial military—that guy’s shameless.”
I wasn’t too surprised.
Yi Pucheng was full of cunning people. If Mu Xian woke up, it was hard to say whether he could leave.
***
The very next morning, news broke that Yi Pucheng, representing his 100,000 mercenaries, had signed a peace agreement with the Empire. Watching Yi Pucheng in his brand-new military uniform, waving to the crowd and blowing kisses to the camera like a hero on television, I was speechless.
Morin was even more indignant. According to the “reliable inside information” he had obtained, the main reason why Yi Pucheng was able to impress the Imperial military wasn’t because the peace conditions he proposed were so good, but because he “casually mentioned” that the “National Army mechanical modification technology” he possessed was taught to him by a descendant of the Time Clan, and he considered himself a servant of the Time Clan.
The entire galaxy held a complex attitude towards this mysterious, near-omnipotent race. Therefore, after he revealed his identity, the Imperial military fell silent and compromised.
After breakfast, Morin left. I sat alone in the huge ward filled with medical equipment, gazing at Mu Xian’s sleeping face.
My heart fluttered when I remembered telling him on social media, “I will never leave you,” and when I thought about how I took the initiative to guide him in bed for the first time in my life, my face even flushed slightly.
When he wakes up and remembers these things, remembers the things we said to each other, he will be very happy.
And then would he stare at me again with those sharp, dark eyes?
Will he become even more passionate and… obsessed with me?
Holding his hand, I thought and thought, and my heart started racing and my cheeks burning. I kissed him sweetly for a while before going downstairs for a walk.
Outside Mu Xian’s ward, there were several auxiliary rooms. Medical experts and mental health specialists were on standby at all times; in another room, media reporters were seated.
As soon as I stepped out of the room, I saw Mop standing in the hallway, smiling and talking to a tall, slender female robot reporter. Seeing me, he strode over to me: “I will see you downstairs.”
It was dusk, and the sunset made the green grass shimmer. Mop and I sat down on the grass, and he said calmly, “Don’t sit for too long; the commander could wake up at any time.” I nodded, feeling a little nervous because of what he said.
“Yi Pucheng has been released,” Mop said, his face not looking too good.
I nodded: “I saw it on TV.”
“It’s a pity we couldn’t kill him,” Mop said calmly. “The price of peace is letting a tiger return to the mountain.”
When he mentioned Yi Pucheng, the first thing that came to my mind was the image of him on the night we fled, his thick eyebrows furrowed, shirtless, rowing desperately—a sight that was both handsome and ferocious.
I laughed and said, “Actually, Yi Pucheng’s a pretty interesting person, but he’s too profit-driven and has no morals.”
Mop asked in bewilderment, “He has no moral compass, yet you say he’s interesting?”
Mop was a meticulous and upright man, and I didn’t know how to summarize Yipucheng for him. After thinking for a moment, I said, “He’s a ruthless… outlaw?” I shook my head and smiled. “In short, it’s best to keep your distance from him.”
Mop stood behind me, not speaking immediately. After a while, I suddenly heard him say, “By the way, when we released Yi Pucheng this morning, he said he had a message for you.”
Yi Pucheng brought me a message? I turned to look at him, stunned.
“I swear in the name of the Galactic Mercenary Corps that if you ever divorce Nuo’er, Yi Pucheng won’t mind giving you a grander wedding.”
A deep voice, a smiling tone.
A dark gray military uniform, a narrow, muscular body, slowly rising dark eyes, thin, pale red lips, and a handsome yet sinister face—who else could it be but Yi Pucheng?
He was staring at me with narrowed eyes, a half-smile on his face, clearly harboring ill intentions.
“You…” You really were persistent! I felt a chill and took two steps back. Just then, a frantic voice came from not far away, followed by hurried footsteps: “Miss!”
“It’s Yi Pucheng! Grab him!”
More than a dozen figures surrounded them from all directions; it was Morin and Mop and his group.
Seeing this, I didn’t panic. But Yi Pucheng was even calmer than I was. He actually took off his military cap, bowed slowly to me, and said in a deliberate, clear, and loud voice, “You are wrong about one thing. I’m especially moral towards women. Remember, if you’re planning to remarry, consider me first.” As soon as he finished speaking, he took off running!
He was incredibly fast, like a ghost, and somehow he escaped Mop’s and the others’ encirclement, disappearing behind the white building ahead.
Alarms blared, and countless heavily armed soldiers surrounded the area, gunfire erupting everywhere. A moment later, a black skull-shaped fighter jet—a mercenary fighter jet—suddenly emerged from behind the building, soaring into the sky like a steel eagle, a flash of brilliant silver light disappearing in an instant, leaving the sky empty—it leaped away.
After a brief period of chaos, the hospital quickly returned to peace and order. I was escorted by Morin and a dozen or so robot guards as I walked towards the building behind me. After a few steps, I couldn’t help but look up at the now silent sky. Yi Pucheng, that guy really is…
Suddenly, I felt myself lighten, and looking down, I saw my feet were off the ground. It was as if an invisible, gentle force was lifting me upwards. The surrounding soldiers were stunned to see me suddenly float away from above them. Morin rushed forward, grabbing my feet: “Miss, Miss!”
“It must be a trick by Yi Pucheng!” someone shouted. “Martial law! Martial law!”
“No, it’s alright!” I quickly stopped them. “It isn’t Yi Pucheng; it is…”
This familiar feeling…
I looked up at the white building behind me, where the open window had pale yellow curtains swaying gently in the evening breeze.
My heart suddenly raced—it was the power of Mu Xian’s string.
Morin was startled, then immediately understood and let go of me, laughing loudly as he rushed towards the small building: “The commander must have woken up!” At his shout, Mop, who wasn’t far away, also took off running towards the building. The other soldiers cheered and surged towards the building’s entrance, peering upwards, as the hospital bells rang loudly once more.
By then, I had slowly floated to the window. The sunset glowed brilliantly behind the roof, and the deep yellow sunlight gently filled the window frame, making the room exceptionally bright and peaceful.
My heart was pounding, and my cheeks were burning. I longed to see him, to hug him right away, and to tell him how much I missed him.
The ward was more like a spacious hall, and he was sleeping in the very center, surrounded by many tall medical instruments, so his body wasn’t visible. I floated into the window, thinking he would let me down to walk over, but my body was still controlled, and I continued to float towards him, bypassing the furniture.
I couldn’t help but laugh.
Finally, after bypassing the row of metal instruments, I arrived at his bedside, and what I saw there stunned me.
He wasn’t awake.
His sleeping posture was straight and still, his cheeks were fair, and his eyes were serene. His breathing was even and long, clearly indicating that he was still fast asleep.
What was going on?
“Mu Xian?” I called him softly.
No response.
Just then, the force surrounding me suddenly intensified. I, who had been floating upright, was instantly turned 90 degrees, face down, body sideways. Then, gently, gently, I sank downwards…
She landed face-up in his arms.
His face remained calm and serene, and his heartbeat was steady and strong.
I stared at him, stunned.
Is this his spiritual energy in his sleep? Did he want to… hold me?
My entire chest felt soft and sweet. I couldn’t stop smiling, so I buried my head in his chest, inhaling his scent. It felt so comforting.
With a “whoosh,” the ward door was pushed open, and the sound of hurried footsteps rang out.
“Miss…”
“Is the Commander awake?”
Several voices came from behind me. I knew it must be the doctor who had come after hearing the news, as well as Morin and the others. I quickly replied, “He’s still not awake.” Thinking about how I was lying in Mu Xian’s arms, seen by so many people, my face burned even hotter. I quickly tried to get up…
I couldn’t move.
She couldn’t move at all. He had bound her with his mental power again. Her legs were overlapping his, her hands could only be placed on his chest, and her whole body was pressed tightly against him.
“Mu Xian, let me go!” I quickly whispered in his ear, “A lot of people are coming.”
No response.
I was incredibly embarrassed, but Morin Mop and a bunch of doctors had already reached the bedside. Several doctors began checking the instrument readings, while Morin covered her mouth, laughing as she said, “Ahem… Miss, please get down. With the Commander pinned down like this, we can’t examine him.”

His voice was loud, and someone immediately burst out laughing. I was both annoyed and amused, and I lowered my voice to say to him, “Morin, I’m locked in by his mental power; I can’t move.”
Morin was taken aback, while Mop beside him was already grinning.
At this moment, a white-haired doctor finished checking the equipment data and walked up to Morin: “His mental activity’s increasing, which is a sign of awakening. I believe His Highness will wake up within an hour.”
As soon as he finished speaking, everyone cheered quietly and clapped in celebration. The old doctor glanced at me again and whispered to Morin, “The princess… won’t come down?”
I turned my head to the side, wishing I could dig a hole and crawl into it.
After a while, presumably after Morin explained things to everyone, the doctors began to busily prepare in an orderly manner. Only I remained, still clinging to Mu Xian, unable to move. But I quickly stopped feeling awkward; they were all familiar faces, and he would be very happy to see me the first thing he saw when he woke up.
I decided to lie there quietly and start looking forward to it.
“His mental strength has returned to normal.” The doctor’s voice was calm yet excited. “He could wake up at any moment.”
“Reporters may come in,” someone said, and then the door opened with a knock, and more people walked in.
I was nervously anticipating what was happening, but upon hearing this, I froze—a reporter? A global, galaxy-wide live broadcast?
“Click! Click!” Before I could turn around, I heard the sound of camera flashes, followed by a pleasant female voice: “Your Highness, is this… some kind of ritual?”
“No, no!” I tried to turn my head, but I couldn’t move my neck. I quickly said to Morin next to me, “Go explain to the reporters and tell them to come and take pictures of Mu Xian’s face, but not me.”
Morin nodded and was about to take a step when I suddenly felt a weight around my waist, as if someone had grabbed me.
My breath hitched, and the embarrassment and awkwardness I felt earlier vanished instantly. Morin was also stunned and looked down at me.
On her fair and clear face, a pair of long, slender eyes slowly opened. Her dark eyes were like a deep, cool pool, their soft luster like gentle ripples on water, silently shimmering within.
My throat tightened instantly, and I couldn’t utter a single word. I could only stare blankly at him. A flurry of camera clicks sounded behind me, and the female reporter’s voice faintly drifted over: “Citizens of the Empire, all friends who care about Prince Nor, we have just witnessed a historic moment…”
I could only vaguely hear him; I just stared at him blankly, my heart pounding in my throat.
He gazed at me silently, his beautiful eyes deep and unsettling. After a moment, a slight smile curved his thin, red lips. That gentle smile was like shimmering water reflecting light, sparkling and radiant.
“I’m so happy…” His voice was deep and strong. “I woke up to find you in my arms.”
A sweet feeling welled up inside me, but then I felt something was off about his words. After a moment’s thought, I realized—he seemed genuinely pleased, and his tone… suggested he didn’t know that he had used his mental powers to bring me here while I was asleep.
So… he thought I had taken the initiative to lie in his arms and wait for him to wake up?
I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Commander…” Morin said happily, “Please allow us to check your physical data first.”
Mu Xian nodded, gave me a deep look, and said in a soft voice with a hint of huskiness, “Get out of bed first. I will hug you after the check-up… okay?” There was a hint of amusement in her voice at the end.
My face was burning hot, but how could I explain? I could only scramble off the bed and retreat to the side. The doctors around me were all laughing, and the reporters next to me were snapping photos like crazy while announcing, “We can see how passionate and pure the love of the princess from Earth, the lovely Miss Hua Yao, is for His Highness Nuo’er. Let us bless them…”
At least half an hour later, the noisy house finally quieted down. The doctors had all left, and I saw them to the door. Morin thoughtfully closed the door behind him.
As soon as I turned around, I saw that Mu Xian had already sat up. He was wearing a loose white hospital gown, which made his handsome face look even whiter and cleaner. His dark eyes were fixed on me.
I paused for only a moment before quickly walking towards him. A smile slowly appeared in his eyes as he looked at me without saying a word. I stood before him, wanting to say so much, yet feeling that nothing more needed to be said.
Just then, her waist tightened, and he lifted her up and placed her on the hospital bed, sitting beside her. Her shoulders slumped as he pulled her into his arms.
My heart skipped a beat, and I turned to look at him. But his dark eyes were so sharp and piercing, as if they could saw right through me. My face flushed, and I lowered my head to take his hand. He immediately took my hand in his own.
The hand around my shoulder tightened, and I could hardly breathe. Without even looking up, I could feel his silent, burning, and intimidating gaze, fixed firmly on me.
“We will have our wedding as soon as I’m discharged from the hospital,” he whispered in my ear.
A warm, sweet feeling welled up inside me. I nodded, turned around, and hugged him tightly.
