Forbidden Land – AFTERWORD

Thank you all so much for your support. This concludes the entire story today. It’s been exactly one month since the serialization began, averaging nearly 10,000 words per day, which is quite fast, isn’t it?
This novel’s success was completely unexpected. I never imagined it would be so well-received, and I’m truly grateful to everyone for promoting it through various platforms.
On Tianya, it garnered over 6 million views and 20,000 replies in just one month. On Hongxiu, it also received over 1 million views, becoming the number one new book on the list and even getting a prominent feature on the Tianya homepage. These achievements are beyond my wildest expectations.
Originally, this novel was just a side story, intended to promote my martial arts novel. However, this novel became a hit, while the martial arts novel, despite promotion, fared poorly and had to be temporarily abandoned.
I created over 10 groups, and they were all surprisingly full.
With a novel becoming popular, praise and criticism are inevitable, but the support of so many friends is my greatest motivation.
I didn’t earn a single penny from this novel because I didn’t plan to publish it or serialize it online for VIP members. So, those who accuse me of being arrogant because I made money can take their words back. Those who joined my QQ group know that I generally reply to everyone; I’m not arrogant at all. I carefully read every comment in the serialization. At the beginning, I replied to most posts. Later, because there were more posts and people were urging me to update, I didn’t have time to reply to many. I hope you understand.
After finishing this novel, I will continue writing thriller/suspense novels.
I feel that this book, Zhejiang University Night Terror, has many shortcomings, which I will correct in the future.

My next novel will probably begin serialization in one or two months. The tentative title is Midnight Shroud. I still need to get other people’s opinions on this title, as I’m worried that it might be too scary and prevent people from reading it.
In the meantime, I have some ideas for writing short stories and novellas. Of course, that’s in a few days. I want to rest and relax for the next few days. For the past month, I haven’t had a single day off. It’s been more tiring than going to work; I never expected this. And the poor stocks have plummeted so badly—it’s so sad.
I hope my friends will continue to support me.
Of course, now that this book is finished, many people will leave, and many will leave the QQ group. Regardless of whether you leave or not, I’m still very grateful to you all.
Regarding the name change of the QQ group, I’ll need to consult with the members; I’ll keep as many as possible.
Finally, I’m extremely grateful to everyone who clicked and replied. Thank you! I hope you all will continue to support Old Chen in the future!
Translator’s Note: We’re done. I can sleep better at night again. There’s something about Horror stories in a school setting, right? Anyway, thank you for reading!
