Back in Room 123, Zhang Chao quickly turned on his computer and searched for “Bai Qiu” on Google. He scrolled through many pages, but none of them mentioned Bai Qiu. After flipping through dozens more pages, he suddenly came across a blog post mentioning her.

At the entrance to Baisha, he encountered Lin Yi’ang running towards him with a serious expression. Seeing Zhang Chao, Lin Yi’ang rushed forward, urgently saying, “Zhang Chao, Chen Rong asked me to find you. We need to explain things to you—”

With that, he strode out.

Lin Yi’ang chased after him, but Zhang Chao turned around, punched him in the chest, and yelled, “Don’t follow me! Get lost!”

Lin Yi’ang stood there, looking at Zhang Chao with concern. Zhang Chao snorted coldly, turned around, and strode away.

As he walked along the path near the back gate in the northeast corner of the campus, he saw Zhu Xiaoyu walking side by side with a tall boy, probably the one pursuing her.

Zhang Chao excitedly rushed up, grabbed Zhu Xiaoyu’s shoulder, and asked, “Tell me, is Bai Qiu dead?!”

The tall boy, seeing this, naturally became enraged and leaned against the railing. He forcefully shoved Zhang Chao, shouting, “What are you doing, kid?!” and prepared to punch him.

Zhu Xiaoyu quickly blocked the boy beside her, pulled Zhang Chao back, and seemed somewhat pleased, saying, “You…you’ve finally regained your memory?”

Zhang Chao coldly asked, “Is Bai Qiu dead?”

Zhu Xiaoyu silently lowered her head, remaining silent.

Zhang Chao snorted, released Zhu Xiaoyu, and walked towards the back door.

“Zhang Chao, where are you going?” Zhu Xiaoyu called out with concern from behind.

Zhang Chao ignored her and strode out alone.

Everyone was lying to him; no one was trustworthy.

“Bai Qiu, where are you?”

Zhang Chao silently murmured to himself, his eyes welling with tears.

But he didn’t stop. Carrying a large backpack with a black cat inside, he walked out alone.

No one could be relied on; there was no one left!

His parents must have known about this and orchestrated it.

Even his parents lied to him.
