Wei Yu, female, Han nationality, real name: Yuan Xiaobei, was born on March 16, 1984 in Jiangsu Province. She is a contracted author of Jinjiang Literature City in China . Her works are mainly modern legends, romances, and thrillers. Her representative works include “Si Teng”, “Life in April”, “West Out of Yumen”, “Three Lines of Reincarnation”, “Dragon Bone Burning Box”, “Owl Rises in the Green Soil”, etc.
On September 28, 2009, Wei Yu’s work “Kaifeng Zhiguai” began serialization on Jinjiang Literature City. The main text was completed on June 8, 2011. From 2011 to 2016, she created works such as “Rage Ringing the Bell”, “Half-demon Si Teng”, and “West Out of Yumen”
In March 2016, Kaifeng Strange Tales was published. In 2017, Wei Yu’s work “Life in April” was published by Qingdao Publishing House. On January 10, 2018, the work “Three Lines of Reincarnation” began serialization, with a total of 569,286 words. On October 30, 2020, the work “Xiao Qi Qingrang” began serialization and ended on May 24, 2021, with a total of 689,997 words. In March 2021, the TV series “Yu Zhao Ling” adapted from “Kaifeng Zhiguai” was released. In November 2022, the work “Half-Demon Si Teng” won the 3rd Pan-Chinese Network Literature Golden Keyboard Award and the Outstanding Film and Television Adaptation Award. On April 25, 2024, she released the work “Flesh and Bone Cage”, with a total of 668,244 words. In May 2025, Wei Yu’s work “April Events” was published by Sichuan Literature and Art Publishing House. On June 8 of the same year, the TV series “Seven Relics of Ill Omen” for which she was the screenwriter was broadcast.
