We finished our translation for SPRING MESSAGE IN THE SNOW which also made it to Top 2 for the week! The main selling point for this Historical Romance is that the Emperor wants Surou, our female lead, to be part of his harem. To avoid this, she lies to the Emperor and tells him that she’s in love with his very close friend Helian Song, our male lead. Helian Song apparently also likes Surou. So the love triangle is between our main leads and the Emperor.

It seems Historical Romance are the most popular genre for our readers. We’ll try to have one or two ongoing translations for this genre. We’ll just finish off the modern titles on our plate. Speaking of which, LIFE AND DEATH INSURANCE, our BL translation is almost done. And FORBIDDEN LAND, our creepy horror-mystery translation, has reached the half-way point and the translator has moved the translating on daytime so she won’t be freaked out.

With “Spring Message” done, we’ve started translating another Historical Romance titled FOUR SEASONS BROCADE which was written more than 10 years ago so it follows the style and tropes of that time so we start off with a young FL. What’s interesting with this one is that we have a frail and average-looking princess die and be reborn as a beautiful Cinderella. Her new family is bullied in their household which happens to also not be that highly regarded by other noble families. And she crosses paths with people she knew from her previous life!
