We finally finished translating Climbing on the Sparrow Branch (Deng Que Zhi) with 936 chapters. After three months, we actually completed it. (round of applause please)
This is a historical romance starting with the main female character’s rebirth which helps her avoid a crucial turning point in her life and gives her a different outlook in life. The main male character is a assertive and collectively known to be difficult, but he’s a total green flag in romance.
This may be a long read, but it’s enjoyable and has a satifying conclusion.
COTSB translator will start taking on translation of another historical romance Spring Message in the Snow next week.
In case you haven’t tried, check out Perfect Match (aka Hearts in Harmony) which has another main male character chasing after the wife. It’s a historical romance contract marriage with the main female character determined to not fall in love so she can leave after the contract period and never look back, but the main male character (unaware of the contract) actually falls for her! He starts having the feels by chapter 16.
We will be finished with both A Chan and To Skylark by next week. The novels we had planned to translate are already being handled by another group, so we’ll look for new ones.
